Guthrum,  or Guðrum (died c. 890), christened Æthelstanshould you be interested, has an exceptionally interesting story.

I remember reading in my Scottish history that during the centuries when, off and on, Denmark ruled Scotland, that along with the wars being fought against each other, there was also much intermarriage to cement treaties, et cetera, and thus, it was said of them, "They were forever putting rings on each other's fingers and knives at each other's throats."
