  2. I understood that the hulls were wrapped in leather (historically) to help hold the boat together. These designs in the video, which reflect the norse building tradition, are 'later designs' that came into use sometime around 600 AD. I may be wrong.

    Since they're Irish, naturally there is a party wherever they make landfall!

  3. I lived in Ireland for quite some time. This video evokes quite a few fond memories. Although Dublin wasn't where I rested my head I wore out a few pairs of shoes plodding through the city back in the day.
