And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Ouch! But, looking a little closer: There seems to be too much blood for a foot wound. There is no blood on the shaft and heel of the boot. Did the dude not bleed when he took off his boot? The "blood" on the tip of the boot looks very runny, and not at all clotty. I call a hoax. /RAF

Reminds me of the time I had a "minor" jackhammer accident. It hit just behind the steel toe and was probably equivalent to a gunshot wound.
