Lisa Bonner, and two others — Cory Dawson and Ben Lewkowski — marched in Cleveland with those from the National Convention of the Oppressed-Black Unity Convention that included people from across the country, including members of the New Black Panthers Party.
Attorney Malik Shabazz, Dr. Cornell West, the Black Lives Matter Movement, the New Black Panther Party, American Indian Movement, Latino groups and others are expected to attend what they liked to call a massive outdoor rally and march, which eventually totaled a what must have been a massively disappointing 70 people. I'm sure the bad people listed above were hoping for fire and mayhem.
"Love is the answer," Bonner said. "We need to embrace each other and come together. We've all got to be on the same page."
Bonner hugged the first two officers who showed up on foot at the rally. She also sought out a police captain who came by later and thanked him.
"When something happens, I'm calling them," she said. "I'm not the bad guy. They're not the bad guys."
Lisa Bonner, making the world a better place one little bit at a time.
