I can almost relate to this, but it sounds like the chase was way too short due to incompetence.

A man who fled police early this morning on a highway through Detroit, before hitting a curb and surrendering, had a simple answer for causing the chase.
"Running from the cops was on my bucket list," the driver of the 2014 Dodge Challenger said, according to a Michigan State Police news release.
The chase started at about 1:30 a.m. after troopers attempted to pull the man over for reckless driving at I-96 and Greenfield. The driver didn't stop, but he lost control a short time later and went up a curb, going a short distance more before he realized he wouldn't get away, police said.
Next time, take a driving class, then you won't wreck immediately.  Smokey and the Bandit this was not.

  1. In the "old days" the driver would have received a licking for his trouble.

    1. The elders in my family would always threaten "a whippin' " and once in a while, we'd get one.

The absolute worst was when grandma would get a "switch" from the yard. That really hurt. Whatever it was you did, once the switch was applied, you never, ever did that again.

  2. This guy clearly isn't too bright. Nobody's told him that you can't outrun police radio signals...
