Caparison made for the horse of Gustav II Adolf, King of the Swedes, the Goths and the Wends. Circa 1620.

First thought when I saw this, "Man, that horse would overheat dressed like that."

  2. I have quite the collection of "Swedish Horses" in the kitchen as my grandmother through adoption was Swedish. My grandfather was Norwegian so that made for some lively conversations around the dinner table with them teasing each other about "10,000 Swedes were caught in the weeds, in the battle of old Copenhagen".

    1. My dad's side is from Skåne and Blekinge. I find I like the taste of pickled herring. Must be some sort of genetic memory.
