Ate the first ripe fig today from the monstrous fig tree next to the house.

I think the tree growled at me.

  1. How much are the birds eating?

    1. They feast on the figs too high for me, the cats hide in the leaves and feast on a few unwary fogels, and we people eat everything we can reach from the ground up. The wife has a Pinterest page bookmarked with nothing but fig recipes. There are only a few ripe now, but in a week or two, it's gonna be a flood.

  2. I live in Maine so no fig trees. But I work in Baltimore a lot and there everywhere. Most of the time the starlings raid them. I do get a few just walking by though. Wish I could grow one up here. Too cold
