And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Ate the first ripe fig today from the monstrous fig tree next to the house.
They feast on the figs too high for me, the cats hide in the leaves and feast on a few unwary fogels, and we people eat everything we can reach from the ground up. The wife has a Pinterest page bookmarked with nothing but fig recipes. There are only a few ripe now, but in a week or two, it's gonna be a flood.
I live in Maine so no fig trees. But I work in Baltimore a lot and there everywhere. Most of the time the starlings raid them. I do get a few just walking by though. Wish I could grow one up here. Too cold
