WWII mine found on a beach in the Netherlands is detonated. Still frighteningly lethal after 70 years.

  1. It would sink a ship then and now.

    Craftsmanship.

  2. TORPEX never deteriorates in water, and that's what that mine is loaded with. I watched a documentary that claimed that in France there was enough UXO to keep deminer's busy detonating 300 tons(minimum) a year for the next 300 years. In Laos and Vietnam you can double or triple that. Nobody has a clue how much is buried in the rest of Europe and Asia or at the bottom of the worlds seas. Happy thought with all the Arabs moving in--Yeh?---Ray
