And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

WWII mine found on a beach in the Netherlands is detonated. Still frighteningly lethal after 70 years.
TORPEX never deteriorates in water, and that's what that mine is loaded with. I watched a documentary that claimed that in France there was enough UXO to keep deminer's busy detonating 300 tons(minimum) a year for the next 300 years. In Laos and Vietnam you can double or triple that. Nobody has a clue how much is buried in the rest of Europe and Asia or at the bottom of the worlds seas. Happy thought with all the Arabs moving in--Yeh?---Ray
