Disneyland, 1965

About the only thing that's still there from this picture is the Matterhorn, which you can barely see in the background

  1. There certainly have been big changes. I loved the old submarine ride.

  2. I visited Disneyland in 1972 when I came back from Viet Nam, and was stationed at Hunter Liggett Military Reservation (which today is Fort Hunter Liggett) assigned to the Combat Developments Experimentation Command.

    I loved Disneyland!

I stayed at the Disneyland Hotel, rode the Monorail, and visited everything, i.e., Country Bears Jamboree, Pirates of the Caribbean, Main Street USA, Frontier Land, Tomorrow Land, and the Adventure Land Safari.

I don't remember if I went into the Cinderella Castle and the It's A Small World After All.

I don't remember if I saw any of the Walt Disney cartoon characters out walking around.

  3. You can still see the smog, though, can't you?
