63 Plymouth Valiant

My wife's first care was Bob, the Plymouth Valiant, although hers was a nice bright red.  Slant six motors aren't pretty, but they never die.  She traded it to a guy years ago for mowing a couple acres. He's probably still driving it.

  1. My first car was a baby $hit green, '63 Valiant with a 225 slant six and three in the tree. Traded in about a year later on a red '64 1/2 Mustang coupe. Man I miss that car. The second one, that is...................

  2. Slant sixes are damned near indestructible, as long as you don't overrev them. I had one in my Hesston 6400 swather and no matter how hot she would get, she always would start up to work the next time I mowed. Only used a quart of oil every day and 20 gallons of gas an hour

...called it Prince, because it was one.

    1. Yup, the other ones in the photos are the modern Oregon plates. Those are the retro ones they offer for a ridiculous price.

  5. I always liked those ugly little cars, I thought about getting one and putting a nasty 340 with a 4 speed, make it sound stock and go find some victims......
