Peruvian submarine power visits Florida


MAYPORT, Fla (July 15, 2015) The Peruvian navy submarine B.A.P. Antofagasta (SS-32) pulls into Naval Station Mayport for a port visit. B.A.P. Antofagasta is part of the Diesel Electric Submarine Initiative (DESI) between the United States and partner nations. DESI is a program designed to train crews and test capabilities in Anti-Submarine Warfare between nuclear-powered and diesel-electric submarines. (U.S. Navy photo by Lt. j. g. Victoria Einbinder)
