USS Carl Vinson


U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (April 13, 2015) Sailors view the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) from the hangar bay of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). Theodore Roosevelt is deployed in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the region.   3. The Tin Can I was on was escorting the USS Enterprise in very rough weather. The Enterprise TV weather man said that because of the heavy weather the Enterprise bowling alley was closed. We believed it! Bird Farms are big!

  4. USS Carl Vinson pre-commissioning crew 1992-1994. And I made the 'round the world cruise with her.
