Hmmmm.


Can't have a can in Kalifornia.  The politicians don't trust us.

A better sniper rifle would be a .308, I'd think.

  1. If you want a true sniper rifle in 30 caliber, the .338 Lapua is a very good choice because of its longer range than the venerable .308. I shoot .308 instead of .338 because of the reduced cost and availability of ammunition (in a crisis).

  2. Better depends on environment. In open country .308 will reach farther and hit harder. But you can't make it very quiet even with a can, less of a problem at distance. In urban environs .300 blk with a 220grain bullet loaded for subsonic velocity can be VERY effective inside 200 yards and with a good can is no louder than a bb gun.
