Fox infiltration

Just now ( 3:00 am) it was necessary to get up and chase a fox out of our backyard.  The weird barking they make was right outside our back window.

I went outside on the deck and beamed a flashlight all around, spooking the fox away for now, but it made an opening for our cat to jump to the deck and get inside.  The stupid dog was outside to keep this exact sort of wildlife away, but was apparently sleeping.  Half rations of kibble for you, Fido!

Foxes are surprisingly common in our semi rural area, and I believe they got one of our cats last year.  RIP Sergei the Russian Blue.

  1. We have them, too along with the coyotes - can hear them every night.
