Low maintenance, low impact, no to low taxes.

  1. I have a friend who lives in a Yurt (Ger in Mongolia - Yurt is a Russian word), and likes it. They are weather proof and are exceptionally warm in winter. The felt that makes up the insulating component is made of horse hair and when wet, it smells like a wet horse. Though if you're living in a yurt, you likely don't bathe all winter, so it may be less of a problem than I think.
