And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Gun Porn
Little bluing left, grip repaired with tape, chambered in .45 Auto Rim - just about perfect!
You educated me on a Fitz Special, Peter - thanks! On the picture, I don't know, as I harvested it off a tumblr somewhere. I just liked the honest wear it shows, which makes a piece like that like an old friend.
I saw the tape on the grip and suddenly thought of the scene in the Godfather where the gun is hid in the bathroom behind the toilet. Odd! I know.

ReplyDeleteIn the old days it was good for finger prints. Today, they can pick up the prints with aerosol superglue. Don't rely on historical tech.

Also, it may be chambered in .45 Auto Rim, but those cartridges in the photo are .45 ACP in moon clips. .45 Auto Rim doesn't need moon clips.
