Gun Porn

Little bluing left, grip repaired with tape, chambered in .45 Auto Rim - just about perfect!

  1. I saw the tape on the grip and suddenly thought of the scene in the Godfather where the gun is hid in the bathroom behind the toilet. Odd! I know.

    1. Great scene. Might be a good movie to watch over the holiday.

  2. That's friction tape. Good grip if bloody and no finger prints. Or so I've heard.......

    1. In the old days it was good for finger prints. Today, they can pick up the prints with aerosol superglue. Don't rely on historical tech.

    2. Is that an original Fitz Special?

Also, it may be chambered in .45 Auto Rim, but those cartridges in the photo are .45 ACP in moon clips. .45 Auto Rim doesn't need moon clips.

      Nice picture!

    3. You educated me on a Fitz Special, Peter - thanks! On the picture, I don't know, as I harvested it off a tumblr somewhere. I just liked the honest wear it shows, which makes a piece like that like an old friend.

  3. The front of the trigger guard is missing. Must be a Fitz.
