And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I would give a lot to live in the west with room to shoot one of those. When I was OPS, my CSO would go home most weekends to NM spend time with his wife and daughter on the ranch. He and his brother would spend time shooting from the porch of his house. His brother was the deputy sherif and there was nothing for miles around his house. I've bought 2 guns lately that I've never shot since I got here because it such a pain the ass to shoot around here. San Diego was so easy.
Shooting off your back porch is one of the best things in life. Everyone should be able to experience it. I once saw a guy shoot a bazooka sized potato gun out the back door of his cabin.
