And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

The Vikings didn't have horned helmets, but the Celts did.
Celtic horned helmet found on the River Thames at Waterloo Bridge, London, decorated in La Tene style which dates back to 150-50 BC.
Earlier my many hundreds of years than the Vikings , where the Iron Age was later .This is more likely a ceremonial Celtic chieftain helmet as seen across Europe.
More likely it belonged to a shaman - druid style?
