Holy Ghost Panel, Horseshoe Canyon, Utah

Spooky country during the day.  Wonder what it'd be like at night?

  1. That's in Canyonlands. There is an unimproved road (that your Dodge Ram would be fine on) that takes you to within about a mile of the place. You have to walk in from there. They are very tight about where you're allowed to camp in Canyonlands but you could likely spend the night "near there" in your rig. I've been all over that area in my FJ Cruiser (highly modified).

    1. Nice! Stop tempting me to take a major road trip, Larry!

    2. September, later in the month, after it cools off. There are some warm nights from now through then and I personally don't like to sleep that warm.

However, by mid-October it's getting cold there and I've been snowed on in that timeframe. As with most things in life, finding the sweet spot is what its all about.

    3. Ok, thanks (checking calendar for vacation time in September). No joke, I could spend all day in a spot like that just doing photography.
