More global warming evidence

Polar bear struck by a snow plow in St. Anthony, Canada

St. Anthony is at the northern tip of Newfoundland, near where vikings landed.

I guess all the bears aren't drowning at sea, as Al Gore, Prophet of Doom, would have you believe.

Residents were also advised not to chase them on snowmobiles.  Why not?  Sounds like fun, as long as you have a 30-06 with you.  I hear polar bear stew is delish.

Below is one of two recently sighted in or near town.  It's unknown if this was the one hit by the plow. It does appear, however, that he might be feasting on a local resident.

Hat tip: Small Dead Animals.

  1. The outside is cold and crunchy, but the center is warm and chewy.

  2. Remember to boil the bear meat very well before eating. There might be parasite eggs living in the meat. Incident'ly, boiling the meat also ruins the taste.

  3. A simple equation, using the time-integral of sunspot numbers (with proxy factor) to calculate a long term trend and the net of ocean oscillations cycling above and below that trend, calculates temperature anomalies since before 1900 with 90% accuracy (95% correlation) and credible estimates since the depths of the Little Ice Age. CO2 change had no significant effect. http://agwunveiled.blogspot.com/
