In foolish California, and specifically in Los Angeles, liberal politicians continue their march towards driving the state into complete bankruptcy.

Worshiping at the cathedral of environmental correctness, the local government is banning the ability of any supermarket to provide a bag of any kind at the checkout counter, with the idea that either plastic or paper bags are bad for the environment.  Ignore the fact that there is no credible evidence that this is true, it's a faith based belief.

The cost is that a local factory making plastic bags for the market will lay off up to 130 workers, who will likely end up in Texas, where they better understand reality.

So let me see, these politicians were elected to drive away jobs, and make everyone's experience at the grocery store less convenient and more vexing?  If the voters don't throw these people out of power, they deserve the hell they get to live in.
