And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

The USS Dewey, a guided missile destroyer, buries it's bow dramatically into 15 foot seas between Hawaii and San Diego.
I also like the jaunty, devil may care way the flag is flying.
Great photo of how a tin can rides. The Dewey is some 9,000 tons, try that ride on a Gearing class can at about 3,000 tons! We always felt we should get submarine pay while on a destroyer.
