This is James Hansen, a former NASA scientist and one of the biggest and most dishonest proponents of the idea of catastrophic global warming.

Here he is in an article proposing some sort of moral imperative.

"Averting the worst consequences of human-induced climate change is a "great moral issue" on a par with slavery, according to the leading Nasa climate scientist Prof Jim Hansen."

So, if I understand Hansen correctly, to question the existence of global warming - to be skeptical of his claims - is to be the same as being a racist slave owner.  The same as if you were to clap someone in irons and sell them as chattel on the open market.  The same as if you supported sending those human chattel into the fields day after day to slave for nothing!

If that is true, then wouldn't the global warming believers be justified in doing almost anything to stop those evil deniers?  It is the same as slavery, after all!

This intemperate language by Mr. Hansen is in fact an effort to "prepare the battlefield" for the next, more coercive stage, where the believers force the non believer slavers to toe their line, using presumably the full force of government power.  Exactly how, we will certainly get to find out, but in the end, for people like Hansen, it isn't really about global warming, which I can assure you he doesn't believe in deep in his heart.

Instead, it is about power and money, and how much of both that can be extorted out of everyone else.

In fact, we non believers are NOT the moral equivalent of slave owners, as asserted by Mr Hansen.    Mr. Hansen and his ilk are instead the moral equivalent of pirates (and not in the good, Walt Disney approved way!).

And pirates, consistent with the law of the sea, are treated accordingly!  Play with fire, Mr. Hansen, and risk getting burned!

Update!  If, God forbid, Hansen and Norgaard were to mate and have a child, this is what the beast would look like!

Ugh! An ice pick to the brain indeed!
