In the continuing investigation on Tomahawks both modern and traditional, I found this model for sale, and in fact sold, over here.

To me, this model has a very practical design, with and integral head and handle, so there can never be a question of breaking one off from the other during hard use. Further, the back tip looks to be more useful in hacking through things, or prying stuff open.

The price was expensive but not crazy, for a tool that ought to last a lifetime.

All in all, a better T'hawk than many I have seen.
