Southern California-based Icon company, bespoke-4x4 smiths, have just released their reinterpretation of the 1st-generation Ford Bronco.  The company recreates legendary off-roaders from the ground up, sometimes using donor vehicles, sometimes building them from scratch.

The only fly in the ointment is that the price demanded by these builders is in super car territory.

This four-wheeled, industrial-design master work will require you to cough up $150,000, payable in American dollars, or if you are so inclined, gold Krugerrands, which some how seem a more appropriate way to pay, at that price. That’s in addition to the Bronco donor vehicle, of course.

However, if money is no object, this would be a worthy investment, guaranteed to garner stares of wonder and disbelief as you rumble down the road in it.  The only question is, would you dare to put some Nevada racing stripes on it by pushing it down a narrow track through the sagebrush, like a real off roader would?
